WORLD HEART DAY............!!!!!!!

hi.....
Today is World Heart Day...!!!!
Most vital organs in our body are liver and heart.Liver doesn't show symptoms of damage initially after affecting but causes serious problems.Heart shows symptoms of degradation.
According to a survey,by 2010,46.9 million Indians will suffer from heart diseases!!!Most of the employees spend 10-12 hours at the work-place.Stress and strain and unhealthy eating habits during the work hours are contributing to early onset of disease.
Having a family history of heart ailments almost double the chances of a person facing similar health problems. Most people affected by heart disease are in their 60s.These risk factors cannot be controlled.
High blood sugar, high B.P,high cholesterol are some of the risk factors which can be controlled.Smoking, alcohol, stress and inactive lifestyle can be controlled.Excessive smoking can lead to heart failure and over consumption of alcohol can lead to a stroke.
Preventive measures include regular check-ups,consulting a doctor regularly after 30s helps in restoring heart to normal state if any damage is done already.Don't overeat, have meals on time and avoid eating late at night.Regular exercise helps to be fit and attain ideal body weight.Have low cholesterol diet which include oats, barley, etc.
Obesity is also major cause for strokes. If your weight is more than 10%of ideal body weight, you are heading for trouble.BMI(Body Mass Index) is a measure to show if we are obese or not.It is calculated by

BMI =
( kg/m² )
